Formation happened, it hasn't continued. It's now just adapting.
The observed purpose, design and information, is adapting to survive, as originally primed, not evolving to new.
Designs are adapting from originals, with no new ones forming.
Natural selection shows this, not that truly new things have since come about. Other theories on the formation of new species/kinds and the origins of initial life, aren't scientific and don't match the evidence. Fossil records support this.
There are gaps in the fossil records for evolution to be true.

They're at the bottom of the fossil records. Thought to be earliest living things. But there's nothing below them. No intermediate formations of animal life like them.

"Useless" or unused body parts (appendix, tail-bone) once thought useless or from previous animals we evolved from, have been shown to have purpose in the here and now. They may have similarities (coxic to animal tails, but they aren't the same and couldn't evolve.
2nd law of thermo dynamics, energy and information is being lost to unusable forms.
